T.J. O’Hara is an internationally recognized author, speaker, and strategic consultant in the public and private sectors who specializes in helping individuals and organizations achieve transformational change.
For over 25 years, T.J. successfully directed complex corporate turnarounds, facilitated acquisition integrations, and fostered massive performance improvement programs for businesses ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. He has served as the President and CEO of four firms (including a professional training firm) and as a senior executive at several multi-national corporations.
Prior to entering the corporate world, T.J. was involved in professional sports and then enjoyed a distinguished career as a litigating attorney. During the 1980s, he also served as a lecturer on Financial Analysis for The American Management Association.
In 2012, T.J. entered the world of politics and became the leading independent candidate for the Office of President of the United States. He was honored to receive the first presidential endorsement offered by the venerable Whig Party since the 1850s and his website was archived by the Library of Congress for its historic significance.
He is the author of three books and has written extensively on the behavioral aspects of politics. He is also the Principal Political Analyst for IVN (Independent Voter Network), writes a recurring non-partisan column and serves as a political commentator for a variety of television and radio shows.
In addition, T.J. has served on numerous boards for corporate, charitable and socio-political organizations spanning the computer, consulting, financial services, media, microbiology, resort, retail, and systems integration industries, and he has been an active member of the business school advisory boards of two major universities.
His academic credentials include a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Cincinnati, Executive MBA studies at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management/Engineering from the University of Cincinnati where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Among other honors, T.J. is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Sigma Iota Epsilon (international honor societies), and he has been recognized in Who’s Who in America and 2000 Notable American Men. He has also received the John P. Rattigan Award (Medical/Legal Jurisprudence), the Ringo-Holmes Award (Advertising) and Presidential, Congressional and Gubernatorial Letters of Commendation in recognition of his publications.
